As the UK’s first importer of Dandies marshmallows, it’s fair to say I am a big fan. But I’m not the only one. Goodness Goodies supplies a number of small, independent businesses, bakers and manufacturers here in the UK and in Europe and for this month’s blog we wanted showcase a few of them by giving them some love this Valentines. You can also see how versatile Dandies are to use, from popping them onto a hot chocolate to baking them into wonderful cakes and brownies. You don’t have to be a vegan to use Dandies.

A Kind Mamma Vegan Bakery
Eve runs A Kind Mama Vegan Bakery from her studio in Cheadle, just outside of Manchester. She sells boxes of cakes on her site & they are delivered by post to your door! What could be easier?
Eve started her business because she couldn’t believe it was SO hard to find yummy vegan cakes, and she just didn’t think it was fair that living a cruelty free life meant people were missing out. All of her products are 100% egg & dairy free, suitable for vegans and those with allergies.

Goupie
Goupie was founded by Janet and Joe Simpson using a family recipe passed down from Janet’s Grandmother. The business is now run by mother-daughter duo Grace and Janet. Marketed as ‘a devilishly moreish chewy chocolate’ Goupie comes in many flavors these days, from original to salted sticky toffee pudding. The family sell wonderful edible gift collections as well as the base materials they bake and create with.
The lemon meringue chocolates use Dandies, and you can buy Dandies vegan marshmallows, as well as gluten-free biscuit crumbs, flaked almonds, and many other items to bake at home with.
The family also have the Chocolate House Cafe located in Tunbridge Wells, where you can taste many of the goods in their range.
Clemie’s Vegan Cakes
Selling all things sweet and vegan, Clemie’s vegan cakes incorporates the Dandies range into many innovative creations, like this beautiful valentine’s day loaded red velvet cookie.Treat yourself, your valentine or galantine with their limited edition thick red velvet cookie slab, full of white chocolate chips this Valentine’s. Clemie’s cookie slabs are covered in a layer of white chocolate ganache and topped with a selection of sweet treats, sprinkles and edible glitter. Dark Matters
Gemma founded Dark Matters in 2013 from her quest for the ‘perfect brownie’. A self-taught baker and chocolatier, as well as a long-time brownie aficionado, she knew that most shop bought brownies or recipes are all cocoa powder and sugar. They often contain no proper chocolate. This can leave you feeling pretty darn cheated if you’re after a chocolate fix.
Dark Matters gorgeous gourmet brownies main ingredient is 70% dark chocolate. They have also been a 100% vegan brownie business since 2016, and palm oil free since 2018.
